for when your mind truly craves to be numbed

phew

well, hopefully i fixed yesterday's post...if it didn't work, i give up!! lol.

did a yoga video yesterday for the first time in i don't KNOW how long and i am seriously tired today. but i was so inspired by the nice warm sunshine to actually go outside and go running when i thought i was going to take the whole day to do absolutely nothing productive (this is the first real slow down i've had for a long time). not only was that the first run i've done in over a week, it was my first run outside in i don't know how long. it was really nice to get some fresh air, even though it dragged up a whole lot of phlegm.... ewwwwwwwww.......

my writing class starts today! it's an online course so i'm about to head on over to the website to check out my first assignments...

everything seems to be getting started all at once! it's a good thing to have all these new exciting projects to drag me out of my winter doldrums but i have a feeling i'm about to have more than i know what to do with soon!

ednem celebrate nine years

well, it was the nine year anniversary of our first date.....i know what you are thinking....do we really keep track of these things? not really. it is just hard to forget since our first date happened on valentine's day....

when you have finished gagging you can peruse the photos. since we are about to move and are feeling the lightness it causes in our pocketbooks, eddie decided to cook. he got a cookbook from Re for christmas written by G Garvin and he is loving learning to make something new every once in awhile. as he likes to remind me (and this will only be funny if you've seen G Garvin's cooking show) he's "keepin it simple...keepin it real...keepin it real simple...."

yes eddie is insane.

so far he has made chicken sate with peanut sauce (a couple different times) and on this occasion he made chicken marsala with button mushrooms and angel hair pasta. and let me tell you, it was really good. i'm not a chicken marsala person, but this was some good chicken marsala. you wanna know why it was good? real cream and lots of butter. we were keepin it simple, keepin it real, lol.

no meal is complete without a giant glass of wine! mr. robinson likes the sweet stuff, too.

at least he's smiling while he's cooking!

think we liked it?

and here is your photoshop challenge. this is the first picture i've actually ever REALLY photoshopped (and i did a very very crude job lol. got a little carried away, i think.)

this is the first time i've looked at this blog in weeks!

what happened?

who knows?

my mother leaves voicemails telling me that she and megs have decided i've been murdered and the person who killed me keeps charging my cell phone...

creative? yes. true? no.

so, what's happened?

i did my ritual twice a year stress/exhaustion hibernation period. i freak out for a couple weeks, then collapse and hide for awhile. last time this happenend i deleted a blog! lol.

what brought me out of my dark cave?

i got my first set of materials from Integrative Nutrition!!! for the last few weeks i've been moping about, feeling like a total
healthnutwannabewhospendswaytoomuchmoneyatstarbucks loser, but i got my books, watched one of the dvds and was instantly reminded why i decided to go to this place. i was completely inspired all over again. i'm getting started working on the exercises, rereading material to help remind myself of things i worked on six or more months ago, and getting my will to try and enjoy every day back a little at a time.

i'm inspired to start cooking fun new things, to try out new healthy styles of eating and go back to shopping at the organic market i had adopted for myself so long ago.

i've also signed up for a writing course and have become writing buddies with one of my good friends who is currently working to finish her dissertation. it's nice to finally be working on the book outside of nano. it is coming in difficult small chunks, but that is better than no chunks at all!!! :)

oh ya, and check out my post at What do you mean you don't have a ricer?
